The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is critical to Georgia and the nation. It is so important that I am thrilled to have a project like the King Rights Initiative to give us the educational tools we need to make sure our students know about the power of nonviolent protest to change the world for generations to come. With this initiative we can assure that we never forget the great sacrifice of men like Dr. King, who lived a life bigger than himself to leave a legacy for us all.
